Plot Summary

Set in the quaint town of Chanderi, Stree revolves around the eerie legend of a vengeful female spirit known as Stree. According to local lore, during a four-day religious festival each year, Stree haunts the men of Chanderi, whispering their names and causing their disappearances if they dare to look back at her. To protect themselves, the townsfolk write “o stree kal aana” (“oh woman, come tomorrow”) in blood on their doorways and take extra precautions to avoid venturing out alone after dark.
